Dear Colleagues,
Your participation in the University's Mission Statement Review
process will be greatly appreciated
as the discussion regarding UTC's purposes will guide important aspects of
our campus' present and future
including academic program considerations and the budgeting of resources to
support the mission
and the goals and objectives to be developed later in support of its
implementation.
The schedule of the presentations by the UTC Chairs of Excellence and
the subsequent dialogue
described by Chancellor Stacy in his email messages has been revised to
facilitate greater participation.
The Mission Statement Review Steering Committee members hope that you will
be able to join in these
sessions and in the commentary on the chairs' observations:

Presentation of a draft of the revised mission statement by the
Steering Committee - for
discussion and comment by the campus community
Following each of the three seminar presentations by the Chairs of
Excellence, their papers will be
available on the web (access information will be provided at a later time)
and students, faculty and
staff will be able to email their comments and observations for the benefit
of the Steering Committee
members in their work and for the consideration by the campus.
Chancellor Stacy and the other members of the Steering Committee hope you
to see you on Thursday.
