In other words, Nick, don"t you mean that the winners who are the survivors are usually the ones who get glorified and the losers vilified in what some call "history".  (And I'm not criticizing honest history but ersatz history of which we have far too much!)

It's a little difficult to tell if Yigal's statement is true, since the
