Fortunately I have some experience with these types of speed bumps from Lee. Of course, theirs are clearly marked, including road signs warning drivers of the impending bump. I was a little suspicious as I approached the first one, and so I slowed down and wasn't taken *totally* off guard, though when I got to it and realized what it was, I was rather miffed at the surprise factor involved. There definitely needs to be a sign or a stripe or SOMETHING to point it out. Slowing people down on a road shouldn't involve teeth-chattering "crunch" sounds from their vehicles.

A visual would be good. Until you're right on them, they don't look like
bumps. The grey blends right in with the road. Yellow lines wouldl notify
the driver in advance. That would be better than having to learn the
jolting way. (They caught me off-guard today as well....... my first time
to drive over one.)

Other than the problems to our vehicles, the brick work is pleasing to the
eye.
