Dear Colleagues,
This is to announce that our course Astronomy 101 Introduction to Astronomy
-- The Solar System, and its optional laboratory Astronomy 181, are
scheduled to be offered during the first summer session. Times are:
Astr 101 (3 hrs) MTWTF 9:00-10:40 Gr 304
Astr 181 (1 hr) MWF 11:50-1:30 Gr 315
Astr 101 and 181 toegther constitute 4 hrs. of General Education laboratory
science credit; the Astr 101 course alone constitutes 3 hrs. of Gen. Ed.
non-laboratory science credit. These courses are usually offered only in
the spring semester. If you know of students seeking general education
science credit in astronomy, or others who are interested in recent
discoveries pertaining to our solar system and other planetary systems, you
might mention this summer opportunity.
