It is with deep regret that I must announce to the campus the passing of
a Facilities employee. John Barton, who came with his family to UTC
several months ago from Miami, Florida to be the foreman of the UTC
Central Energy Plant, passed away Sunday morning. He suffered from an
apparent heart attack. Funeral arrangements are pending, and will be
announced when we receive them.
 
John was a valued and trusted employee, and will be greatly missed by
his co- workers in the Facilities department. John's brother- in - law,
John Johnson, is employed in the UTC Mailroom.
 
Please keep John's family in your thoughts and prayers.
