I have another adoption opportunity, for someone who is looking for a dog.
My neighbor recently rescued a young beagle....she is another one just like
me, who cannot stay out of the humane society! Balkie is about 2 years old,
and when he came out of the pound, he looked like he had been starved and
neglected. But we took him to the vet and he has been neutered and brought
up to date on his shots, and he is now a sleek, healthy, happy little dog.
But since we both already have dogs and cats and not enough room, neither
one of us can keep him permanently. He is at my house, and he does
excellently with other dogs, cats, and kids. He even has a little bit of
obedience, and knows sit, down, off, and he's working on stay. He needs a
fenced yard that he can run around in, because he definitely has that beagle
nose, and he WILL follow it, given the opportunity! He has really good
house manners, and is housebroken, although if there is food around, he will
find it! (But that's understandable, given he was so hungry for so long!)

If anyone is interested in giving Balkie a home, or you know someone who
might be interested, please give me a call or drop me an email. My cell
phone number is 362-9500.

Thanks!
