Hello -

My name is Theresa Liedtka, and I am the new Dean at the Lupton Library. I
arrived on campus on June 15, 2004. Since my arrival I have met with many
campus stakeholders and groups, including the following: most Academic
Department Chairs, a couple of full academic departments, all the Deans, the
Senate Library Committee, the Council of Academic Department Heads, and a
variety of individuals. My goal in these meetings was to learn about UTC,
to share information about the Library, and to learn how academic
departments and administrative units work with the Library to help the
University meet its mission.

If you had an opportunity to read my guest piece in The Echo (9/16/2004),
you know that two groups that I still need to connect with are individual
faculty and students. In The Echo I announced open meeting with any
interested faculty, staff, and students. The purpose of these meetings is
to hear from you about your library experiences and to seek your input on
our future developments so that we can serve your teaching and research
needs in the best manner possible.

As a reminder to interested faculty and staff the dates and times for these
open meetings are as follows:

Monday, October 11th at 2:00 pm in Library 205
Monday, October 11th at 5:30 pm in Library 205
Tuesday, October 12th at 9:00 am in Library 205
Wednesday, October 13th at 10:00 am in Library 205
Thursday, October 14th at 3:00 pm in Library 205

If none of the above dates works for you please feel free to give me a call
at 423-425-4508, or email me at [log in to unmask] to setup another
time.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Theresa
