Marilyn forwarded to us a statement that says
the university  "... will strive
>to establish rewards ...."

My personal opinion is that this is a very weak statement.

I do not see any form of commitment behind it.  If the
university wants to let us know it is committed to establishing
a performance rewards system, I'd like to see it in
a strongly worded statement.
