Faculty:

We will be able to mount this semester a third round of Instructional
Excellence grant proposals.

For information on the Instructional Excellence program, please point
your web browser to:

   http://www.utc.edu/Teaching-Resource-Center/InstructionalExcellence/IEGrants/

The goal of the program is to provide funding to improve the
instructional process in the classroom. The Instructional Excellence
program places a high priority on projects that will improve and
enhance academic instruction beyond typical. Specifically, the
program aims to:

* directly improve instructional quality at UTC,
* assist faculty in developing teaching skills and maintain an
enthusiasm for teaching, and
* provide opportunities for innovative curricular efforts.
----

The Instructional Excellence grant program does not support salaries,
faculty release, or normal operating expenses.

Round Three proposals should be sent to Kit Rushing, Communication
Department (3003) by Friday, April 12. Send an original (with cover
sheet) and nine copies (without cover sheet). Forms are available on
the Instructional Excellence web site.

(Results of Round Two proposals will be available later this week).
