Press Release from the Hunter Museum
The Hunter Museum of American Art will present a poetry reading by UTC professor and accomplished poet Rebecca Cook on Thursday, November 17. Rebecca will read from her forthcoming chapbook THE TERRIBLE BABY, to be
published February 2006. A Question and Answer session will follow the reading.
The reading will begin at 6:30pm Thursday, November 17. Refreshments will be available at 6pm. Admission is $7/adult and $3.50/child. Museum members are
admitted at no charge.
Rebecca will also share information about an exciting upcoming class series she will be teaching at the Hunter Museum, "How to Get Started Writing When
You Don't Know Where to Start," which will present the art form of writing to novice writers and those just looking for inspiration in their writing practices.
Rebecca Cook is a two-time Pushcart nominee and one of the founders of the Chattanooga Writers Guild. We encourage everyone to attend this final special event of 2005, and to expect more wonderful events in 2006 at the Hunter Museum of American Art.
