Subject: DET versus Big Bang
Speaker: Dr. Ling Jun Wang, Dept. of Physics, Geology and Astronomy
Place: Engineering, Math and Computer Science Building, room 201 (Card
Auditorium)
Time: Thursday, October 5, 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Dr. Ling Jun Wang will present his Dispersive Extinction Theory (DET) of the
cosmic red shift in this colloquium. His theory is published in Physics
Essays, Volume 2, Number 18, 2005, and presented in the 2006 Annual Meeting
of American Physical Society. Dr. Wang's DET is a direct challenge to the
currently prevailing cosmological theory of Big Bang. It has attracted
attention and interests in the physics community, and inquiries are received
from our students as well as fellow faculties about the schedule of an on
campus presentation of this theory. We hope this colloquium would answer the
need.
In his presentation, Dr. Wang will share his DET theory as well as the
fundamental difficulties with the Big Bang theory and the reasons for the
need of an alternative theory of cosmology.
According to Dr. Wang, his theory is mathematically simple and many college
students should be able to understand it. Even students with little or no
science background may qualitatively understand logic and philosophy of the
theory.
Please come and announce the event to your students.
