First Notice!
The University Center anticipates approval for the renovation/
expansion project for the fiscal year 1999-2000.  The project is
supported by student funds.  An architect will be appointed by
August 1999 and he/she will have 8 months-1 year to complete
the planning phase of the project.  Therefore, I anticipate that
University Center space will be available through May 2000.  The
Summer 2000 is questionable as the actual construction phase may
begin as soon as June 2000.  Anyone wishing to schedule space
beyond May 2000 may experience interruptions in schedling.

The renovation consists of new lighting, heat and air, installation
of a sprinkler system or other fire prevention system, new ceiling, new
wall covering, new flooring, etc.  In simple terms, the University Center
will be a big mess for a while!  Anticipate an even better facility!
