Last year I was looking for a boarding home for my 87 year old mother who
had Alzheimer's disease and in a wheel chair full time. Because of her
condition she could not go to assisted living and I did not want her to go
to a nursing home. She passed away in August, but many of you e-mailed me
and asked if I found a place to let you know because you were in a similar
position.
There is a boarding house near Reflection Riding and the Nature Center
(phone # 825-0185) that has two caregivers during the day shift and one
during the night shift. It is much nicer and less expensive than a nursing
home. I hope this is of some help to any of you going through this difficult
transition. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 425-4192 or
e-mail me at [log in to unmask]
