Title: On-line homework service for introductory science and math classes
Abstract: The Internet Homework Service is a free service operated by
University of
Texas and designed to handle introductory (including calculus-based)
courses in Physisc and Math. It is planned to expand the system to handle
Chemistry courses. The system allows the instructor to create
assignements
which will be submited (by students) and graded (by U of Texas computer)
on-line, along with many other features which make it for instructor much
easier to manage the coursework. Dr. Allen has been using the system for a
semester and will share her experience.
The seminar is sponsored by the Departments of Math and Physics and the
Walker Teaching Resource Center. Please join us!
