Thanks to the student technology fee and the hard work of the technology
experts on the campus, we are moving rapidly forward in the use of
electronics in many areas. One of these areas is the use of email as the
"official" communication process for students. To that end, I have been
asked to distribute to faculty a recommended statement for inclusion on the
syllabi. The inclusion of the statement will better ensure that all
students are aware of the changing nature of communication from the university.
To enhance student services, the University will use your UTC email address
([log in to unmask]) for communications. (See
http://onenet.utc.edu for your exact address.) Please check your UTC email
on a regular basis. If you have problems with accessing your email
account, contact the Help Desk at 423/425-4000.
I sincerely hope that you will consider including the statement on your
syllabus.
