I would like to wish Rodger well on his voyage. I must say it takes
considerable courage to take on such an adventure and I am a little
envious for I would love to have the same opportunity someday.
I would like to thank Rodger for he has always been professional and
helpful anytime I made a request of him and I hope his replacement will
do the same.
I look forward to reading the logs.

Farewell and Godspeed,

Mike

Subject: [UTCSTAFF] Leaving UTC for Warmer Waters

While I am thinking of it, I'd like to wish the campus well as I prepare
to leave for one to two years in the Caribbean. My wife, six year
daughter and I are departing November 2nd from Sale Creek Marina in our
small but gadget-equipped sailboat. Since I'll be on leave most of
October to get ready for the trip, I'll be "working" here at UTC for
only one or two more days.

I've learned a lot since coming to the University in 1988, and I'll
always be grateful for the literally hundreds of people here who helped
me in one way or another, from Chancellors to caterers, colleagues all,
to the four superb people I've had the pleasure to call my boss.
Despite the lean budgets and occasional growing pains, UTC is still a
great place to work and an exciting and interesting place to be, and
I'll forward to hearing of your accomplishments in the future.

For those who are interested, I will try to keep up a log of our
adventures on my website at http://www.stationr.org.
