The Placement & Student Employment Center, the Counseling & Career Planning
Center, and the Office of Cooperative Education will sponsor a Career Day
Open House on Wednesday, February 10, 1999, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the
Tennessee Room of the University Center. Employers from the Chattanooga
Area and throughout the southeast have been invited to attend the program.
The purpose of the Career Day is to aquaint our students with various
careers in business, industry, and government agencies. All UTC students
are invited to attend the Open House.
Please encourage the students you work with in your classes to attend the
Career Day. By talking with company representatives students can find out
what type of jobs organizations have, what demand there is for various
occupations, and what courses or activities will increase their
marketability. Some of the participating companies may be anticipating job
openings this spring whereas others may not. It will be beneficial for all
students (freshmen through seniors and graduate students) to attend the
program and learn about various companies.
