Drs. Peter Simbi, Morris Burnham, Dorothy Williams and Diane Farone of
Social Work recently completed the terms of a consulting contract with
Austin Peay State University in which they were compensated for developing
training sessions for the Tennessee Department of Childrens' Services.

The training sessions were held in Chattanooga and surrounding counties last
summer (summer 2001). The sessions --which provided training to foster care
workers-- focused on knowledge and skills for planning for children placed in
foster care to be transitioned to permanent home settings.

Congratulations to the faculty of Social Work on receiving funding to
implement these training sessions across Chattanooga and its surrounding
counties.
