Hi, everybody! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Holiday.

For my Federal Work Study Program Supervisors, a few things you need to
know and to keep in mind in the next few weeks:

1. The last day for Federal Work Study students to work on the federal
program Fall Semester, 1999 is this Friday, December 3. Those students who
normally work on the weekends may work through Sunday, December 5.
2. The first day for Federal Work Study students to begin work on the
federal program for Spring Semester, 2000 is Friday, January 7.
3. All Work Program contracts signed in Fall Semester are for the Spring
Semester as well. Your student worker you have now can just come back to
work on January 7.
4. If your student worker is not coming back Spring Semester (hopefully
having graduated) send me an E-mail to let me know. I am keeping a file on
those departments with vacancies.
5. If you and your student agree that they will not be back in your
department Spring Semester, send me an E-mail or a memo to that effect.
This releases your student from their contract with you and alerts me that
you need someone else for spring.
6. Supervisors should be prepared to interview new student workers starting
Wednesday, January 5, 2000.

If you have an unusual need, please let me know. We will try to be
flexible depending on your particular circumstance.
