Dear Colleagues,

It my pleasure to inform you that Distinguished Professor Emil Plywaczewski, a Professor of Criminal Law and Criminology in the Faculty of Law at the University of Bialystok, Poland, will speak here at UTC. Dr. Plywaczewski is the Director of the Chair of Criminal Law and Head of the Department of Substantive Penal Law  and Criminology, and Vice-Dean of the faculty of Law. He is highly demanded all over the world's renowned universities.

His lecture is captioned, "DEMOCRATIZATION AND CRIME IN CENTRAL EUROPE." He is a United Nations consultant in organized crime.  His lecture will cover the various changes that have occurred in post-Soviet Union.

This lecture is sponsored my by Department and I. Professor Plywaczewski and I will be in Nashville,TN, for an annual conference of the American Society of Criminology from December 17-20, 2004. I lured him into coming to give the lecture to our students before our annual meeting.

TIME: 1:40 p.m.
