All are invited to attend the softball open house tonight at the indoor
hitting facility at Warner Park. A reminder that the Lady Mocs are hosting a
fundraiser at the Outback Steakhouse at Northgate this Saturday beginning at
11 a.m. Read below for more details.

 

LADY MOCS SOFTBALL ANNOUNCES OPEN HOUSE AND FUNDRAISING LUNCHEON

 

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Mark your calendar, softball fans, for two dates with
the 2006 Lady Mocs softball team. First, join the Lady Mocs Tuesday, Jan. 24
for an Open House at the team's Indoor Facility. On Saturday, Jan. 28, the
second annual fundraiser for the Chattanooga Lady Mocs softball team will be
held at Outback Steakhouse, Northgate.

 

Meet the 2006 version of the Lady Mocs Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. the
Softball Indoor Practice Facility located at Warner Park. Each team member
will be introduced along with the coaching and support staffs. Head Coach
Frank Reed will give a preview of the 2006 season.

 

The team will go through a brief workout and then be available to meet with
fans and sign autographs. All are invited for this event free to the public.
The Indoor facility is located at Warner Park in the field house just off
Third Street.

 

On Saturday, Jan. 28, the second annual fundraiser for the Lady Mocs will
take place at the Northgate Mall Outback Steakhouse. Seatings will be
offered at three time settings; 11:00 a.m., noon and 1:00 p.m.

 

The Gold Seating (11 a.m.) lunch will be buffet style with drink refills at
the table. Chattanooga softball players, coaches and other UTC dignitaries
will attend this seating. Gold ticket holders will receive "goodie bags"
filled with autographed posters, UTC softball t-shirt and a 2006 schedule
card. Cost for this limited seating is $25 and includes tax and gratuity.

 

The Silver (noon) and Blue (1:00 p.m.) seatings will be buffet style as
well. UTC coaches and dignitaries will mingle among the diners. UTC Softball
merchandise will be offered for sale by the R.B.I. Club. Tickets for these
sessions are $12 and include tax and gratuity. Children 12 and under are $8
for all seatings.

 

Tickets for the luncheon may be purchased at the Chattanooga Mocs home
basketball games on Jan. 21 and 23, the Lady Mocs Open House on the 24th or
call Mike at 877-2080 or the softball office at 425-2163.

 

Both events are sponsored by the Lady Mocs R.B.I. Club.
