all,

this is a re-post, we're listing the van one more time here before the
semester ends.

we are selling a 1993 20th anniversary edition Mazda MPV, 4wd.

the MPV is a minivan, three doors, seats seven comfortably. the rear
seat folds down (a 5 second operation) for additional cargo space, and
the second row bench can also be easily removed (although it is pretty
heavy).

this car has power locks and windows, power moonroof, leather interior
(tan), cruise control, factory in dash cd/tape/am-fm radio, abs, front
and rear air and heat, airbags, aluminum rims (aftermarket) and tires
with more than half of their treadlife remaining. brand new exhaust
from the manifold back (we weren't planning on selling the car then),
and new front axles.

169,000 miles on a 3.0 liter v6 which is clean, runs strong, and burns
no oil. the transmission is a three speed automatic with overdrive and
has recently been flushed and filled with synthetic oil. i have been
fastidious with the mechanics on this car, and have always run either
synthetic oil or a synthetic blend since we purchased the it (at about
90,000 miles). there are 2 4-wheel drive modes, one general all wheel
drive, and a locked differential mode for really nasty snow/ice/mud. it
all works smoothly and flawlessly.

the exterior has minor dents/dings and scratches, but still looks
almost new when cleaned up. the interior is nearly perfect, with the
exception of the driver side front seat, which was rained on once or
twice, and has begun to split/tear on the bottom seat cushion.

a great in-town car, and excellent on the highway. there is a little
bit of road rumble at about 50-65 mph which is from me being a
perennial cheapskate when it comes to tires. the rims are straight and
true, disks and drums are only a couple of years old.

in the "what's not to like about canada" category...the car was
manufactured in canada, for the canadian market, so the odometer is in
kilometers, and the speedometer is in kph, with mph listed in smaller
type below (just like an american car lists kph below mph).

between 18-20 mpg on the highway.

two tone forest green and silver.

this is a clean, solid, well running vehicle. it's been a great car for
us, and we feel sure it will be as good a car for you.

bluebook for this car is $4060.00, we're asking for $3000 or make us an
offer (first reasonable offer drives it away).

please respond directly to this email or call 265-2260 if you have any
questions or want to see/drive/buy the car. i will have it on campus
more or less all of next week, if that is more convenient.
