  I do not believe the consistently empty stands indicate the that the
students do not care about the football team but rather its the logistics
of the off-campus stadium. I remember attending games at the old stadium on
campus and the stadium was always packed. I have never understood why the
decision was made to put the new stadium off-campus. I think the old one
should have torn down to make way for a new one. There would be no problem
with empty stands if games were held on campus.
