Hello,
"Live at Your Library" grants fund theme-based cultural programs held at
libraries; activities include arts performances/exhibits by visual,
literary, and performing artists. Partnerships with other organizations
(including colleges and universities) are strongly encouraged. Any type of
library -- including academic, public, and school libraries -- may apply.
Activities must be open to the public and promoted to attract adult, young
adult, or family audiences. Application guidelines include several ideas
for themes and a list of suggested authors, but you may create a theme of
your own and/or use authors not on the list. Approximately 50 projects are
funded each year; the next application deadline is July 30, 2002.
For more information including application materials and a list of
recently-funded projects, go to http://www.ala.org/publicprograms/live.html
Please let me know if you are interested in applying to this program.
Maria
