Don,

Dana Gioia, newly nominated by Bush to chair the National Endowment of the
Arts, will be at the UTC Fine Arts Center Thursday at 1:40 pm, as part of
the Cadek Department of Music Seminar Series. Gioia, who as librettist,
collaborated with composer Alva Henderson in writing the new opera
Nosferatu, will be joined by Henderson and the principals in talking about
the project, its progress and its future.

Mr's Gioia and Henderson will sign copies of the libretto and will meet
with the press after the seminar.

Scenes from Nosferatu will be performed this Friday and Sunday evenings at
7:30 pm at the Fine Arts Center, corner of Vine and Palmetto.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and $7 for students.
