The Department of Health and Human Performance would like to offer faculty
and staff, along with their dependants, spouses, friends, or neighbors an
opportunity to learn the martial art of Tai Chi.

Scientific research conducted at the Medical Academy of Shanghai, the
Tangshan Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital in New York City has shown
that tai chi chuan stimulates the central nervous system, lowers blood
pressure, relieves stress and gently tones muscles without strain. It also
enhances digestion, elimination of wastes and the circulation of blood.
Moreover, tai chi's rhythmic movements massage the internal organs and
improve their functionality.

Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:15-6:00 PM in Mackenzie
Arena beginning on Tuesday, January 23. The cost for each participant is
$45. Classes will continue through April 19.

We need a minimum of 10 participants. Please email me if interested.

Thanks. Carol
