Sorry to take so long to write about this but I have been pretty busy:

Velocity Winter Drum Line (an indepependent competitive drum line sponsored
through Scenic City Drum and Bugle Corps) placed second in class at the world
championships last April. The Director is UTC percussion student/instructor
Johnathon Duke and the captain is UTC Drum Captain Dallas Thomas. This drum
line contained several other UTC Band students as well. Our own drum line has
reaped the rewards as we have managed to recruit and include almost every
eligible percussionist from the silver medal line. Our drums have been
recovered in a custom gold shell that will shine with pride as the 2002 UTC
drum line takes the field this friday. Be warned that this will not be the
"boom chick" that you may be used to hearing from your typical marching band
drum line...it is refined and sophisticated but if they do it right...... it
should still groove. See you at the game. Go Mocs
