Hello,

A new Fulbright program begun last spring might be of interest to you. The
Fulbright Senior Specialist Program enables U.S. faculty to spend 2-6 weeks
in collaboration with professional counterparts in a foreign country.
Assignments are available all over the world and can include faculty and
curriculum development, institutional planning, and lecturing in college
classes.

The program accepts applicants in the following fields:

*Anthropology & Archaeology
*Business Administration
*Communications & Journalism
*Economics
*Education
*Environmental Science
*Information Technology
*Law
*Library Science
*Political Science & Public Administration
*Sociology & Social Work
*U.S. Studies -i.e., Art, Art History, Dance, History, Literature, Music,
Popular Culture & Theater
*Urban Planning

Applications are completed on-line. There is no deadline; you may apply at
any time. Grants include travel, per diem, and a $200 per day honorarium.

Successful applicants will be added to a pool of candidates; when a country
requests a Senior Specialist, a candidate with appropriate expertise will
be selected from the pool. Many requests will be for English speakers, so
foreign language fluency is not a requirement. If you are unable to accept
an assignment your name will be returned to the pool for consideration at a
future time. An individual may remain in the pool for up to five years.

For additional details and access to the on-line application form, go to
http://www.iie.org/cies/specialists/ss_overview.htm Please let the Grants
Office know if you are interested in applying to this program, or if you
are selected for a Senior Specialist assignment.
