Choral Arts of Chattanooga will perform a concert *in memorium* 9/11/2001, this Sunday, Oct. 29, at 3 pm, at First-Centenary United Methodist Church.
The program opens with a new work composed for Choral Arts, for this concert, on a poem by Denise Levertov, "Talking to Grief." Other selections include a beautiful setting of Psalm 23 by John Rutter, the lovely Requiem by Maurice Durufle, an unusual and colorful work incorporating vibraphone, piano, and organ with the chorus, and also the Chattanooga Symphony string quartet playing the Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber.
If you have never heard choral music in the sanctuary of First-Centenary, it is a wonderful acoustical experience. It is handicap accessible, there is plenty of parking behind the church on Oak.
There is a nominal ticket price. All are welcome.
