Dear Staff and faculty,

Dr. Efaw is correct to point out the lack of a central data-base for phone
numbers. The AT&T database of numbers is available at http://www.anywho.com

This FREE SITE is the actual AT&T database used by operators and perhaps
the most frequently updated and thus accurate database for telephone and
address info. It is all US and includes Yellow Pages, White Pages Toll Free
Numbers and a very powerful Reverse Lookup Feature.

Next time you have an unknown number on your caller ID, throw it in reverse
lookup for fun. From there, the Anywho.com site will even print you a map
from your house to any address you find in your search.

Good Luck and enjoy saving yourself and the university money!
