This will be a great seminar. Hope you can attend.

PLANT FREEZE

Most of you can see that your plants are starting to bring on new life.
Just keep them watered. My fig trees are budding late and I have no new
leaves as yet but they are showing promise.

If your crape myrtles are trees instead of bushes make sure you pick the
green leaves and new stems that are coming out on the bottom of the plant.
If you don't you will have bushes and no more tree. If you wait too long,
the stems will be harder to pick off and you will have to use your clippers.

TIP

If you collect seed, have bulbs to store, buy grass seed, like to store
dried items such as gourds, flowers, vegetables for their seeds, now is a
good time to buy the best thing you can to store these so the "little
critters" won't invade your garage. Aluminum garbage cans are still out at
your hardware stores. I just bought 2 of them and also 2 aluminum buckets
with lids to store small items in such as packages of seeds. Later on in
the spring and summer you may have a hard time finding these cans and will
have to wait again until next year. I learned a lesson after I bought a bag
of grass seed - critters were having a good ole time......

You can also store your hard dog and cat food in these. Just make sure you
put the lids on them.
