Setting aside the debate over whether or not shouting, air horns, etc.
should be allowed during the student walk across the platform, no one (?)
has addressed the shouting of names that occurred during the Chancellor's
welcoming remarks and during the musical selection played by the band. There
were no individual students recognized at those times, yet a number of
people felt compelled to break the silence of those trying to listen.
