The first film in the series will be in English.  It is a KPBS/ Chayes/Harris
documentary: "Los Romeros: The Royal Family of the Guitar".  The hour long
documentary tells the inspiring story of how Celedonio Romero, a noted guitar
virtuoso and gifted composer from Malaga, Spain braved civil war and artistic
oppression to become the patriarch of a family of brilliant guitar soloists
and the creator of the world's first guitar quartet.  Through captivating
interviews with family and friends, archival footage and enchanting music, Los
Romeros chronicles the fascinating history of one of the premiere families in
music.  From the Romeros' first appearance on American television to the
momentous occasion of their knighthood, the film takes viewers on an intimate
musical journey that attests to the family's enduring love affair with the
guitar.
