I don't normally jump into these moral arguments, but for this one, and
because it comes up every year at this time, I felt the need to just explain
or shed a little light on a possible "why"....in all arguments like this,
both sides should be equally represented.

The Boy Scouts consider themselves to be a "Christian" organization, founded
on Christian morals and philosophies. Being such, their morals are based on
the Bible. The Bible condemns homosexuality, and calls it unnatural and an
abomination, therefore, the Boy Scouts will not condone this lifestyle by
allowing homosexuals to serve in leadership positions. Part of the Boy
Scout oath says "Morally Straight".

For myself, I believe that it is not my place to judge one way or the other;
the homosexual's lifestyle is between him/herself and God and no one else.
My purpose here was only to provide a possible explanation for the decision
of the Boy Scouts. They made the decision they thought was right for them,
and for the boys they are responsible for. They did what they believed was
in the best interest of the boys and I don't believe that donations should
be withheld from them for it. The Boy Scouts do a lot of good for a lot of
boys and young men.

Just my .02 worth...I'm going to lunch...
