THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 23  South Korea Business and Trade Seminar.  The
seminar will begin with a presentation on "Working and Doing Business
with South Korea" by J.Y. Choi, president of ITP, a company which
supplies fiber and fabric products for furniture industries in the
U.S. and exports polyester and nylon raw materials to South Korea and
China. Choi graduated from the Seoul National University in Korea and
holds a master's degree in management. Also leading the seminar is
Kyun Min, Trade and Investment Commissioner, Korea Trade
Center/Invest Korea in Atlanta. His topic is "The Role of Invest
Korea in Assisting Tennessee Companies Looking to Establish a South
Korean Presence."Min has served the Korea Trade Center in Korea,
Argentina, Mexico, Egypt and Chicago. Seminar leader Brett Martineau,
Marketing and Investment Advisor, Korea Trade Center/Invest Korea,
will discuss "The Current State of South Korea's Investment Climate."
Martineau is a graduate of the University of South Carolina's
international business program. He has extensive work experience in
international business in the U.S. and Europe. Korea Trade
Center/Invest Korea is the national trade and investment promotion
agency of the Republic of Korea. UTC University Center Raccoon
Mountain Room.  8:30 a.m. to Noon.  Refreshments provided.  Sponsored
by the World Trade Society of Chattanooga, Chattanooga Chamber, and
Korean Association of Chattanooga.
