Yesterday at our Holiday Open House we celebrated your giving to the
community during this Holiday Season.  Our faculty, staff, and students
generously gave Chattanooga over $100,000!

The gifts you give all year to make the quality of life better for all
Tennessee already have distinguished you as remarkable in our
society.  This year's gifts to the area United Way, however, add impressive
exclamation points to your caring for the community in which we live.

Thank you for what these great gifts say about the University of Tennessee
Chattanooga.  The university is not just a great idea or institution - and
certainly it is that.  It is also, at its beginning and ultimate,  just
people like you and me.
