Dear Nick:

        Just a note to tell you that at least one "Amen" is coming from the
corner; and don't think for a moment that any of us failed to dig the
symbolic as well as the physical implications of that injunction about "not
shooting ourselves in the foot," coming as it does from a runner with your
credentials and skill.
