Dear Faculty, Staff and Students:

I appreciate those of you who have taken time to provide input about "UT
2010," the scorecard of performance goals for Knoxville, Memphis,
Tullahoma, Institute of Agriculture and Institute for Public Service. In
reading the responses received thus far, I have been most impressed with
the suggestions offered to make this important document even stronger. If
you have not yet done so, you can view the latest version of the scorecard
at http://scorecard.tennessee.edu and e-mail your input to me at

I also want to emphasize two other points. First, Chancellors Nick Dunagan
(Martin) and Bill Stacy (Chattanooga) are working with me to develop
companion scorecards for their campuses. They should be available soon. In
addition, we will post answers next week to some of the more frequently
