Vernon Smith, Nobel Laureate in Economic Science for 2002-3 will speak
at UTC on September 18 at noon in the Roland Hayes Auditorium.  Smith
received the Nobel Prize for his pioneering work in Experimental
Economics and will address the topic of “Freedom, Entrepreneurship, and
Economic Progress.”  Faculty wishing to include the event in their Fall
syllabus for student participation should contact Martha Yates at the
Probasco Chair ex. 4118 to arrange for class seating.
