Hello all,
I would like to invite you all to an (extremely) informal lunchtime ("brown-bag") series on Special Relativity (ridiculously informal...):
Fridays (starting Sept. 24) from 12noon-1pm, in room 219-0 of Grote Hall. (You don't have to come every Friday to come once.)
The idea is to teach Relativity at a level that (just about) anyone can learn it, and my intention at least is to make it fun...
If you can do 8th grade algebra, you can learn Special Relativity! Bring a lunch, bring a friend, bring your favorite pop science question (what is dark energy?, what is string theory?, how can I get the neutrinos out of my coffee?, etc...).
Cheers,
Peter Groves
