  Shaun Smith, a UTC student in the EHLS Department, took 3rd place at the
U.S. trial on the Gauley River this last weekend in the down river race. He
has qualified for the U.S. team which will be competing in the World Cup
World Championship Race which will take place in Europe this summer.  Shaun
is the fourth UTC student to wear the USA jacket on the World Cup Team
representing the USA in kayaking and canoe competition at the World Level.
Pleas join all of us in wishing Shaun good luck and a fast race.
