Faculty and staff are reminded that today at 4pm, the Counseling and
Career Planning Center will offer another in its Psych O'Cinema series
of movies and group discussion for students (faculty and staff also very
welcome). This semester the movie is a mainstream romantic comedy
starring Will Smith. You may be familiar with the recent film, HITCH.
While it is squarely situated in the Pop Culture Media, it still conveys
some important points about the difference between shallow relationships
and intimate ones and the way our fear and pride cause problems with the
risk-taking involved in the "game" of Love.
Please encourage your students to take advantage of this freeby (and
maybe gain some insight in the process). The event will be in the
Raccoon Mtn. Room of the University Center. The entire program (movie
and discussion should last 2-2.5 hours.
Beat your feet on down the street to this neat treat (Too late to
delete).
I can't help it, you can't contain artistic urges.
Thanks,
ED
