Faculty:
Make plans to attend the 2003 Instructional Excellence Retreat being
held this year at the DuBose Conference Center in Monteagle, TN.
This retreat is FREE for UTC faculty--all you pay for is your
transportation to and from the DuBose Conference Center  in
Monteagle.  UTC and the Instructional Excellence Committee provide
room and meals.  ALL UTC faculty are invited to attend.

Topic:
The Learning Portfolio: Improving and Assessing Student Learning
Presented by:  John Zubizarreta, Ph.D., Professor of English &
Director of Honors and Faculty Development, Columbia College,
Columbia, SC

Dates:  May 15 - 17, 2003 (Conference begins at 5:00 pm on Thursday,
May 15 and ends at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2003).

AN IMPORTANT NOTE:  Pre-registration is REQUIRED by May 4, 2003.  No
late registrations will be accepted.  Cancellations after May 4, 2003
or "no shows" may be charged a minimal fee.
