Dear Summer School 3 AM and 2 PM Faculty Members:

Grade sheets for the classes you are teaching were delivered to your department last week.

The grade sheets for students who completed an "Application for Degree" to graduate in August are pink. The deadline for turning in these grade sheets is Friday, August 9 at NOON in the Records Office at 124 Hooper Hall.

The deadline for receiving all other grade sheets (blue ones) is Saturday, August 10, at NOON in the Records Office. Please be aware that the names of students who submitted applications after July 31 will not appear on the pink sheets, nor will they be identified as graduation candidates (GC) on the blue sheets..

Since grades are due on Friday and Saturday at NOON and commencement begins at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, there is absolutely flexibility in the stated deadlines.

If for any reason, you are unable to turn your grades in by the scheduled time, please let Sandy Zitkus ([log in to unmask]) know as soon as possible.

Also, just a few reminders:

1. Please do not send grade sheets through the mail or allow a student to deliver the grade sheet to the Records Office.
2. Do not send grades to us or the student by email. This is a violation of federal law (FERPA) since they may be viewed by unauthorized persons.
3. Be sure to sign each sheet and indicate a telephone number where you can be reached in case of any problems or questions.
4. A grade must be submitted for each student listed on the grade sheet; do not add names to the grade sheet..
5. If a grade sheet is not turned in on time, all the students involved in the class will be issued an incomplete and will receive a grade mailer that reflects the incomplete grade. This may have an especially adverse effect on those students who are receiving veteran benefits or financial aid.

Thank you for your help in expediting the processing of grades for Summer 3 AM and 2 PM. This not only helps the Records Office but also the students who are scheduled to graduate and students.
