I received so many emails and calls concerning my recent health that I
thought I would respond to all at once.
 
On June 28 I had an arterial stent inserted due to 90% blockage in one
of the main arteries to my heart and have mild to moderate blockage in
another artery, which my doctor chooses to treat w/diet and exercise at
this time.  The surgery went well, and I feel fine and am back at work
full-time.
 
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who have
expressed well wishes and sent cards and to give special thanks to the
wonderful folks in the Chancellor's Office, Provost's Office, Associate
Provost Pittenger's Office, Ms. Diane Welch, Ms. Sherry Ward, and
especially to my WONDERFUL boss, Dr. Sanders, who has already put up
with more from me than most bosses should have to in a lifetime (she's
the real trooper!).
 
Looking forward to coming back to the UTC "family" is one of the things
that made recovery go faster and easier.  You guys are the BEST!!!
