My stepson Josh, a student at MTSU, would like to sell his 1997 Mercury 
Mountaineer SUV.  It is white with gray leather seats, power windows and 
locks, power steering with tilt wheel, dual front air bags, V8 engine, 
2WD, AM/FM cassette with 6 CD changer, and has 171,000 miles on it.

Kelley Blue Book private party value for this vehicle is $4,590 
(excellent condition), $4,110 (good) or $3,495 (fair).  Because it needs 
some work (brake pads and A/C) he is asking only the "fair" price of 
$3,495 even though the vehicle otherwise looks to be in pretty good shape.
