Kim Wheetley, Director of the Southeast Center for Education in the Arts
(SCEA), has recently received two grants --totaling $150,000-- from the
Getty Education Institute for the Arts in Los Angeles, California.
These grants will provide continued support for the Southeast Center. One
grant of $125,000 will provide the twelfth year of general operating
support for the Southeast Institute for Education in the Visual Arts.
Another grant of $25,000 will support SCEA's "Arts Partner Schools"
program. "Arts Partner Schools" is an innovative program that has been
developing, testing, and refining professional development and curriculum
implementation programs for comprehensive arts education in selected
schools across the southeast.
Please join the Office of Grants and Program Review in congratulating Kim
Wheetley and his staff on these recent successes.
