I had a bad experience with Case Dental on Tennessee Avenue. Nice people but once they found out I had insurance I all of a sudden had all these cavities they wanted to fill. I have never had problems with my teeth before.

Subject: Re: [UTCSTAFF] shabo dental spa

My dentist Elinore woods has been charging me $80.00 to $100.00 every
time she cleans my teeth, for the last two years, even though the
booklet says normal six months cleaning is covered under insurance. Even
when I questioned the charge she insisted that our insurance does not
cover it. I checked with the insurance and they said normal cleaning is
covered. I am thinking of changing dentists. Please suggest which one of
those on the list abide by the policy. Thanks.

I had a problem worth noting at Shabo Dental Spa also:

I went to Shabo for a regular cleaning and asked if my headaches might
be related to TMJ ( a jaw disorder). He measured my bite and said I had
TMJ for sure. Then he told me about a mouthpiece that I needed to buy
for $6,000.00 and that I would require three years of braces at some
unknown cost. Of course when I asked Shabo about going to an oral
surgeon to confirm TMJ, he said that the oral surgeon would just send me
back to him. Shabo stated that he was just cutting out the middleman.
After hearing those ridiculous prices, I went to an oral surgeon to see
if I really had TMJ. The oral surgeon said that I did NOT have TMJ and
did not require braces.

Just beware if you go there and are told that you need expensive
procedures.
