Lupton-Sponsored Foundation, UTC and the
Chattanooga-Hamilton County Bicentennial Library Present
Free Book Publishing Seminar to Aspiring Writers

Books For Life Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to
educating aspiring authors and poets about the book publishing process,
announces a free seminar entitled "How To Become a Published Author: A to
Z" at the main branch of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Bicentennial
Library. The 90-minute seminar will be held Tuesday, June 10 from 6:30
p.m.-8:00 p.m. Speaking will be Mark Shaw, creative director of the
Foundation and the author of 12 published books, including Book Report,
Publishing Strategies, Writing Tips, and 101 Literary Ideas For Aspiring
Authors and Poets.

The seminar is a result of a unique partnership between the Library, the
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and Books For Life Foundation,
whose founding benefactor is Chattanooga-based philanthropist Jack Lupton.
"Mr. Lupton's blessing has permitted the Foundation to assist more than 800
writers during the past year," Shaw stated. "We are proud to co-sponsor a
seminar in Chattanooga that will provide education for so many talented
writers in the area."

UTC's underwriting of the seminar will permit the first 25 registrants to
receive a free autographed copy of Book Report. The Foundation will also be
donating copies to the library for future use.

Information about the seminar can be obtained through the Library, by
