Matrix Factorizations

Abstract. Decomposition of a given matrix into a product of two or more
other matrices is fundamental both to the theory and the application of
matrices (including computation). In this talk we discuss several classical
factorizations (including new information about them) and some new
factorizations. Much of the talk will be accessible at the level of an
elementary course in linear algebra, but a few things will be relatively
specialized.
